Once I deleted the Windows partion (the largest partition), I was able to install OpenSuSE Live KDE from a live USB flash drive. This left the Windows restoration partitions (I hope) in case I have to consider the unpalatable so that my son can use it in school. So, I don't believe I have a Dual boot, just the possibility of re-installing MS Windows. I do not know what would have happened if I had installed OpenSuSE first. Audio and video tested with Skype, and audio only worked after an update and reboot. Highly recommend using an external DVD drive over a Live USB flash drive. Nice end result, even with choppy streaming video.
