Re: Installation without CD
The page is not deleted, its simply not transferred. If you need help doing this please contact the openSUSE:Wiki team
- Not transferred from where to where? And it's not just one page, but two: Installation without CD and SDB:Installation without CD, and I've recently had watchlist emails for them, but when I followed the links, the pages weren't there. — Tonymec 16:29, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- Do you read news.opensuse.org? Especially http://news.opensuse.org/category/wiki-2/ is of interest.
- Ah, I see. — No, I happen not to read the news but I felt that this page was important enough to deserve importing. If I didn't do it right, feel free to "edit shamelessly", as the saying goes; and I see it had "other versions" in five languages: maybe someone will check that they are accurate and import them too.
- In the meantime, at least this time I remembered the relevant paragraphs well enough to download the 11.3 DVD to an auxiliary partition on my HD, extract its kernel and initrd next to it, boot them with Grub and install (11.2 -> 11.3) from there. — Tonymec 12:30, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Please do not transfer pages into the new wiki if you do not intend to adapt it to the required quality standard - the last thing we need is to import the old mess. I'm deleting the page in the meantime, thx. If this article is really necessary, it will be adapted.
