openSUSE:IRC list
Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a great way to connect with openSUSE community members in real time chat and for support. IRC uses popular client software, such as Konversation, KVIrc, XChat, the Libera.chat Web IRC Client or instant messenger clients that support the IRC protocol. All of them are included in openSUSE. Although chatting occurs in a group forum, you can also privately chat with online members.
Are you new to IRC? Read this page to know how to start. Please take note of the IRC rules before you join.
Below is a list of well-known, registered openSUSE channels. Traditionally, the Freenode IRC network (on group server address irc.freenode.net) has been used. With operational changes at Freenode, the community has elected to move exclusively to, the Libera network (group server address irc.libera.chat) as of May 2021.
