GNOME Web, formerly Epiphany, is a browser for the GNOME desktop environment based on the rendering engine WebKit. The main features are simple navigation and a clean user interface.
Epiphany started as a split-off of Galeon, replaced it as the default browser for GNOME and was later renamed Web. The browser:
- can handle more than one tab (tabbed browsing)
- has pop-up blocking
- searches through categorizable bookmarks in the adress bar
- allows you to save sites as Web application that can be opened as normal applications through the Gnome shell
