About Me edit
- Who am I?
My name is Tomáš Glozar, known online also as lenticularis or Dr. Shuppet. I'm a student of theoretical computer science at Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University in Brno, specializing in programming language theory. I also work at Red Hat as Software Engineer in Kernel RTS team, and was an intern on DiffKemp, Cockpit, and BPF before.
- What I like about openSUSE?
YaST, Kiwi and especially OBS - I like the fact that one build system is used for openSUSE, SLE and user packages. I also like Geeko the Chameleon and, of course, the SUSE YouTube channel.
(The thing that really got me into openSUSE was actually SUSE Studio - the possibility of trying out my "distros" in a pre-configured virtual machine was very useful for me back then when I was younger.)
- What am I doing at openSUSE?
Nowadays mostly keeping myself out of the Red Hat and RHEL ecosystem bubble. I want to contribute to wiki and to code, but I spent my time mostly on other projects.
- What skills I have?
As of programming skills I know C, C++, Python, a little bit of Haskell and Java. I also have some knowledge of Kiwi and RPM. I'm also fairly good at working with language (correcting mistakes, finding more comprehensible ways to express things, ...).
I also know many other things I'm too lazy to list here.
- More to mention:
I chose this quite weird username (susedio) at a young age for my Novell account I used to access SUSE Studio (hence the name) and kept it to preserve it - I usually use the nick "lenticularis" (or my real name) at other places.
