  • What I like about openSUSE?

I was in touch with this distro for the first time in 2001, during my first job. I can't remember exactly the version number but it was my distro of choice either for servers than for my working desktop environment. During the year I switched from various unixes, also MacOSX and I was back to openSUSE in 2021. Now I'm proud and happy Slowroll user.

I love the community, the gecko, the Factory first mantra and the feeling I have with my flavour (Slowroll): a rock solid distro with a modern and maintained application ecosystem.

  • What am I doing at openSUSE?

I'm the maintainer for py2pack, zsh, rubygem-rails-html-sanitizer, pam_2uf and I co maintain other Yubiko keys stack stuff. I'm also the maintainer for a lot of tools in the security project.

  • What skills I have?

I love breaking the code helping people in building it more securely. I'm a hacker at heart, and I embrace the original meaning of the term. I do believe in giving back to the community, so I do love create patches, write security tools. I do love C, python and ruby programming languages and I'm not afraid to use them.

I do love communicate, I have a YouTube channel where I talk about cybersecurity and code audit. I gave talks in a lot of security events and to openSUSE conference too.

  • More to mention:

Black belt of Taekwondo ITF, now ice hockey player, proud husband and father of twos I play guitar and enjoy driving my motorbike while I'm not behind my smoker and my grill to have BBQ with friends.


Contributions edit

  • Maintainer and contributor for security tools project.
  • As part of the openSUSE Security team I proactively audit packages in Factory, managing the responsible disclosure process, assigning a CVE and validating the patch.
