I'm Ish Sookun, a Linux enthusiast and blogger from Mauritius, a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Fun with Linux started over two decades ago. Serious stuff though started when I found myself being a Linux SysAdmin at a company on the island but with clients all around the world. Got a very nice picture of how Linux was being used in many places.
I joined the openSUSE Project as an ambassador and then local coordinator. In 2018, I joined the Election Committee and have been helping organise the Board Elections. In 2023, I joined the membership committee.
I am active in the local tech community. Participating (if not organising) meetups on topics like web development, open source and Kubernetes.
