SDB Talk:Printing from Windows to Linux

This article is outdated and incomplete (in particular Samba is missing and/or how to access a CUPS server directly from Windows via IPP) and would need major changes and enhancements to become actually useful. Probably it is best to write it anew from scratch.

I (User:Jsmeix) have written it anew from scratch (January 2011). But I am not at all an expert regarding Samba. Therefore what is still missing is an explanatory description how to set up Samba so that it provides for each CUPS print queue a matching SMB printer share which is accessible by Windows client systems in the network.
