Cockpit Development Package Repo Access

Cockpit Development at SUSE

The SUSE development team pulls new versions from upstream frequently and builds them. Everything we consider stable and usable will go into a publicly available repository that you can browse here: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/cockpit/SLFO_16.0/

Note this involves basic testing but not to the same level as when we add to the products!

Products and Architectures

Packages are suitable for current Tumbleweed and Leap 16, on all supported architectures. While Tumbleweed eventually receives the newer versions anyway, Leap typically stays with the matching SUSE Linux Enterprise versions through the default repos.

How to include the repo

Add the repo and refresh

user $ sudo zypper ar https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/cockpit/SLFO_16.0/systemsmanagement:cockpit.repo
user $ sudo zypper ref

Install from there

user $ sudo zypper in -t pattern cockpit

Or just "zypper up" as usual, if you already have the packages and you'll get the updates.

We're happy to hear about your experiences through the Forums, or Bugzilla in case of failures.
