Subcategories And Other Members

I cannot see much logic in

1. having a subcategory - are not nearly all subcategories or other members (articles, portals) of this Category:OpenSUSE project subprojects of the openSUSE project?
2. having some subprojects only as subcategories, some only as single portals or articles and some with both a subcategory and a single member of the Category:OpenSUSE project.

Could this be sorted all in subcategories so no one has to seach in 2-3 areas of Category:OpenSUSE project for a subproject?
