Is this page some sort of joke? someone on IRC is confused.

Arrived here looking for an alternative to building with pkgsrc on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. Perhaps a more Linux-focused port system could work out for building an Emacs 28 or emacs-git (Emacs 29 presently) if on OpenSUSE. I've looked at Flatpak for this, too.
For managing the build dependencies, I think it's a great idea to try building with Gentoo's portage on OpenSUSE. I think it's great if someone has arrived at a similar idea, already.
It looks like Gentoo's Portage Bootstrap process may be compatible with other operating system environments? Perhaps it could be similar to the bootstrap process with pkgsrc.
For purposes of orchestrating a build for the OpenSUSE Linux environment, I understand that there is SUSE's OBS. I believe OBS is a substantial build system, uncommonly well documented, with an impressive user interface and reliable network infrastructure. I'm certain that there must be some complexity to how it fits in as a part of distribution management for OpenSUSE. I think it's really great that OpenSUSE has made OBS available to the public, moreover. For anyone with a reliable network connection, or for any virtual server on the cloud, I'm sure it works out great.
For local software builds, perhaps I'm more familiar with the ports systems in each of pkgsrc and in FreeBSD Ports. Though I've not worked with Gentoo before, I'm sure that the portage system must be fairly similar - a general workflow of boostrapping the port system, port configuration, distfile caching, building for some configuration, then port and/or package installation, and at any later time, port updates. While writing this talk article, maybe I've found the resources I was looking for, here. Health, all.
