openSUSE:YaST styleguide why use cancel
Why should I use "Cancel" and not any other label?
The controversy about the label of the "Cancel" button is a very, very old one.
Up to now (August 2008) "Abort" is used as label which according to some arguments is the technically most correct term.
On the other hand desktop environments like KDE or GNOME are using "Cancel".
And this is the most important reason why YaST modules should also use "Cancel."
By doing so consistency with the user's desktop and user's expectations are increased.
The other point is, that "Abort" has also a negative touch because it is also used as a medical term for abortion.
