  • What/Problem: openSUSE forum were disfunctional
  • When: 2024-10-08 01:20 to 06:20 UTC
  • Why: We identified a number of contributing issues:
    • The discourse-prometheus plugin required webrick 1.8.2 but the system had only webrick-1.8.1 installed. This made the discourse-update service fail, which killed the forums as a result.
    • It broke at a time when admin availability was low.
