About
The YaST Keyboard Layout module uses Archive:SaX2 for the configuration of your keyboard. A variety of keyboard layouts are available, from generic layouts, to multimedia keyboards, to specific laptop keyboards. Please choose the keyboard appropriately.
Features
Once you have chosen your keyboard, you can set the primary language and a subset layout type. Here you can use alternative layouts, such as DVORAK, instead of the default basic QWERTY configuration.
You may also select secondary languages you wish to be available to your keyboard. Check the box next to the language as appropriate with your decision.
Since Archive:SaX2 is being used, before configuration data is saved, you will be asked if you would like to test the X server configuration. It is recommended that you test your configuration to avoid system instability at your next restart of the graphical system.
