Hello! I am Alex Bissessur, from Mauritius, a tiny tropical island in the Indian Ocean. I'm an enthusiast for the Linux world, and specialise in Cloud Native technologies, running my homelab and other crazy experiments on Kubernetes clusters. My adventure in the OpenSUSE ecosystem started out after hearing so much praise for the Leap and Tumbleweed operating systems, and currently, all my laptops and servers run some flavour of OpenSUSE.
I have been heavily involved with the Cloud Native landscape, currently serving as organiser of the local Cloud Native Community Group, dubbed Cloud Native Mauritius. As such, I often organise (or help organise) meetups and conferences, and do my fair share of presentations.
