Hello, my name is Stefano Baldan, and I'm a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Milan. I graduated in Computer Science at the University of Milan in October 2011.
I’m very interested in technology and digital media, especially in their artistic form (interactive installations, live coding, VJing etc.). I participated in a few installations myself, mostly as a sound designer, and I teached as a tutor assistant in some courses involving digital media at my university among 2009 and 2011.
Music is my other greatest passion: I sing in the southern thrash metal band G.O.D. (Gears Of Doom) and in the Nightwish tribute band Last of the Wilds, while I play the whistles in the irish folk acoustic ensemble Agwen.
In my spare time I do quite a lot of things but my favourite hobby is surely flying kites and practicing kite-buggy.
I'm a member of "Free Software User Group Italia", and actively participate in events, talks and lectures for the promotion and diffusion of free software
