Hi, my name is Onuralp SEZER, and I live in Samsun, Turkey. I'm a Mechatronic Engineer and Linux systems enthusiast with over 15 years of experience in Linux environments. While I have extensive experience with Fedora and Red Hat systems, I'm passionate about contributing to the openSUSE community and exploring the innovative technologies that make openSUSE unique.

Within the openSUSE Project, I contribute in the following ways:

  • Community Engagement: I actively contribute to the openSUSE Quiz project, helping create an engaging and educational platform where community members can have fun while learning more about openSUSE through interactive questions and challenges.
  • KDE Integration: I'm dedicated to supporting KDE within the openSUSE ecosystem, working to ensure smooth integration and optimal user experience for KDE users on openSUSE.
  • openSUSE Kalpa Support: I'm particularly interested in helping with openSUSE Kalpa, the immutable desktop system that represents the future of secure and reliable desktop computing. I contribute to testing, documentation, and community support for this innovative approach to desktop Linux.
  • Cross-Distribution Knowledge: Drawing from my extensive experience as a Fedora Mindshare Member, Packager, and KDE SIG Member, I bring valuable insights from other Linux communities to help strengthen openSUSE's position in the ecosystem.

My technical background includes proficiency in C++, Python, Qt, Java, and Kotlin, with recent focus on OpenCV and computer vision applications. This diverse skill set, combined with my system administration experience across various Linux distributions, allows me to contribute meaningfully to openSUSE's technical development and community growth.

I believe in the power of collaboration between Linux distribution communities. My involvement in multiple projects allows me to share best practices and innovations across communities, ultimately benefiting all Linux users. openSUSE's commitment to innovation, particularly with projects like Tumbleweed and Kalpa, aligns perfectly with my passion for cutting-edge technology and stable, reliable systems.

At the end of the day, I'm excited to be part of the openSUSE community and contribute to making it an even better platform for users, developers, and enthusiasts worldwide.
