I'm Jeff Mahoney, currently employed by SUSE as VP of Engineering for Linux Systems. I joined SUSE in 2000 as a kernel hacker working on file systems and have taken on more leadership responsibilities over the past 25 years. I've been using Linux since 1995, hacking on it since 1998, and my first SuSE install was in 1999. Since then I've contributed to numerous kernel subsystems, openSUSE packages, and other open source projects. I was the maintainer of the Tumbleweed kernel for many years. I live in the Greater Boston area in the US, with my wife and two kids. When I'm not sitting in my office, I can usually be found hiking, skiing, or playing video games with my family.
