Halo,
Selamat Datang
From Surabaya, Indonesia. I work as a Network Administrator at an ISP. Besides my day job, I also do freelance work, helping friends and family with their network and home server issues. And sometimes, I get to tackle even more complex problems for clients who need a bit more specialized help. I really enjoy solving tech puzzles for people!
Background
I really enjoy diving deeper into systems and networking. Along the way, I’ve worked with cloud services, virtualization platforms like KVM and Hyper-V, containerization with Podman and Docker, and configuring Layer 2/3 devices such as Dell Force10, Juniper, Cisco, Mikrotik, and VyOS, as well as NGFW firewalls like Fortigate. Sometimes I also love tinkering with SBCs, turning them into miniservices in my lab whether for NAS, a DNS server, or just experimenting. I share some of these experiences on my blogsite
Me and openSUSE
openSUSE Leap 15.1 introduced me to Linux on a much deeper level. At first, I only used it as a tool for work. But over time, I discovered something more valuable: the true meaning of freedom, being able to customize everything to my own taste while learning how the system really works. The best part is that it has made my job so much easier, especially since much of my work revolves around systems and networking. That experience with openSUSE really opened my eyes to the whole world of open-source. I got to meet so many interesting people, and it was incredible to connect with others who shared the same passions and goals. It's been a really rewarding journey!
Involvement in openSUSE Development
My contributions to openSUSE might not be much yet, but I hope they will continue to grow over time. So far, some of the things I’ve done include:
- Helping with Indonesian translations and revisions for openSUSE support, See my progress.
- Participating in local discussions and events, openSUSE-ID Indonesia Linux Conference 2022 in Sidoarjo, Indonesia.
