Sketchup. In general I use Sketchup under windows. I used it under 11.2 but it did not work under 12.2 and now I am downloading 13.2. I want to look at the contour tools under 2015 Pro. I have no issue with buying if the software works for my application. Solar and Wind systems including analysis of installation. The shadowing program works well, full polar orbital, and I can work with the contour image brought in through Google, but I would like to place a triangular mesh on the topography surface to aid in overall design of roads, wind turbine placements and solar farm placement.

Either a) We need to convince Trimble that there is real interest in an opensuse or suse version or we need the package in the upgrades so that we can effectively run sketchup when we run. The free version of sketchup could be a default in the download with a smooth transition to the pro versions. I used Wine to run Sketchup on 11.2 but then the methods for getting it to work on Version 11 were no longer functional on Version 12.

In addition, I would like an effective computational dynamics analysis package for wind in the area allowing me to download the three hour interval data from NASA with the ability to reduce or increase wind speed based on actual height of the towers, we build VAWT's. All of this under Sketchup so its easy to use thus being able to concentrate on my actual real work versus writing software.
