SDB:Xerox DocuPrint p8ex does not print

Symptom

Yast finds out and correctly installs the printer, but it does not print.

Cause

LPT port in one of fast modes.

Solution

The solution has been found on Google:

"go into your motherboard's bios and change your parallel port's mode back to "standard". (You are probably in either ECP or EPP, which are the fast modes.) Then, power completely down, and restart your system. "
