Jump to: navigation, search
This article outlines how to get flash working on Google Chrome Beta web browser.
Note that the following information only applies to Google Chrome web browser. The open source Chromium web browser should have flash working as long as flash is installed through the official method.

Prerequisites

  • Flash (Installed using online update, or manual install by placing the plugins in the standard directory)
  • Google Chrome web browser (beta)

Creating symbolic link

Obtain root permission by running:

su -

Then, depending on the version of Flash Player that you have installed, run:

If you have 32-bit flash:

ln -s /usr/lib/browser-plugins /opt/google/chrome/plugins

If you have 64-bit flash 10.0 alpha:

ln -s /usr/lib64/browser-plugins /opt/google/chrome/plugins

A symbolic link to the flash plugin directory will be created in the /opt/google/chrome/ folder.

Running Google Chrome

In order to get flash properly loaded, you might need to run Google Chrome with enable plugins switch turned on:

google-chrome --enable-plugins

Ignore any errors such as
