Devices don't appear in Dolphin when connected

Dolphin will list available devices, which in Linux means mounted.

To make any connected device instantly available it must be automatically mounted. In KDE that is responsibility of Device Notifier.

Device Notifier configuration

  • Right click on Device Notifier icon in a system tray (systray) and select Device Notifier Settings.
  • In a new window go to vertical tab Removable Devices where you can:
    • Enable automatic mounting.
    • Select what types of devices should be automatically mounted, or which particular devices should be mounted.
