Archive:Umtsmon
Many UMTS cards can be used easily with Linux. This article has been tested with SUSE Linux 11.1 but should work for other versions as well.
Here is how you connect to the internet using your UMTS card:
- Install umtsmon
yast2 -i umtsmon
- in case of a USB surf stick: attach it
- Start umtsmon
umtsmon
- Enter your pin
- Choose Connection|Manage profiles
- Add a profile with the APN pinternet.interkom.de, save it
- Click Connection|Connect.
It works now:
