Discussion Items
- Snapshotting of Binaries
- We are currently missing the project meta definition (the list of packages that currently exist)
- Adrian is requesting input and comments on how to define and trigger binary snapshots via git based methods
- Managing tagging sources + snapshots of binaries together could be a benefit for example for staging setups (build a set once, reuse it for many parallel stagings)
- Dan shares that the scm-staging bot can now merge PRs
- Adrian mentioned that the build ops team is currently in progress of setting up the internal gitea instance and would like to see input on how to setup or sync the sources
- Adam submitted the git sha256 support patch upstream ( https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/23894 )
- Impact on the certifications in “phase 1” where sources are managed with OBS SR mechanics is smaller than with a “Phase 2” where the git workflows are authorative
- Will shift meeting by a week
