Banshee is a music player that has the following features:

• Rip CDs
• Sync with iPod and other portable players
• Create playlists
• Burn audio and MP3 CDs
• Podcasts (Netcasts)
• Smart playlists
• Music recommendations
• Share music over a network using DAAP (same mechanism as iTunes).

Note that some of the above features are provided by plug-ins.
