About edit

In 2001 I bought SuSE Linux 7.2 at a local book store with pupil discount, but the books were too thick, even getting the internet in ISDN times to work was hard and all my games were not working. I sold the books and CDs/DVD, kept the gecko sticker and moved a long. Around 2008 I completely moved my private PC from Windows XP to Ubuntu 6.06 when I bought a ThinkPad. However getting involved in Debian packaging was cumbersome. When openSUSE 11.4 was released I thought now could be the right time for a "change". The LSB compatible http://rpm.org/ makes somehow sense in my eyes. Around 12.1 I tend to favor KDE which is very well maintained in openSUSE. I have some MediaWiki experience which I would like to share with the community. At the moment I am involved in the openSUSE:Science team as well as maintaining Games (also tools like Steam and Desura) and Mono. Switched to openSUSE:Tumbleweed now and a huge fan of the Cinnamon desktop. Also tinkering with the beautiful Pantheon desktop.

Note that to the end of 15.3 I switched to Arch Linux. My packaging activity will therefore focus on the AUR and Flathub instead. Documentation efforts will also move to the Arch Wiki.
