Meeting openSUSE
The first time that I tried SUSE was back in the summer '05 at my cousin's house, in a little town near Aachen, Germany. He was running SUSE/KDE (a Linux system, what a surprise!) on his computer. After using it to check my email, I thought "what a nice KDE-based system!". I really liked it. When Kickoff was introduced in 10.2, I made openSUSE my main desktop OS and started reporting bugs... in August 2008 I became an openSUSE member.
Things that I do
- Testing/reporting bugs
- Updating/maintaining the wiki (es, en)
- Translating the distribution into Spanish
- Building/maintaining some packages (phpMyAdmin, easystroke, MozillaFirefox-theme-oxygen)
- Contributing artwork (KDE/At Night wallpaper, YaST/Webpin icons, KDE-Look.org/klo-wallpapers)
- Helping others with installation/configuration issues
- Experimenting with the openSUSE Build Service obs:/home:/javierllorente/.
- Blogging on Lizards
