Writing, Translating, and Publishing openSUSE Release Notes

Since openSUSE 11.2 the release notes document is part of the openSUSE documentation SVN at https://forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/opensuse/trunk/documentation/release-notes-opensuse . RELEASE-NOTES-openSUSE.xml is the English master document. yast.xsl and html.xsl are style-sheets producing suitable output for YaST and the desktop help systems (HTML). If you want to help with writing release notes snippets, create draft snippets in Bugzilla using the "Release Notes" category, and consider to apply for SVN write access.

The Localization Teams translate the release notes in the suse-i18n SVN.

We are publishing the release notes as a regular software package named release-notes-openSUSE.
