KSnapshot

KSnapshot is a program for taking screen shots of your Linux desktop, it is shipped with the KDE Desktop Environment. KSnapshot allows you to choose the area of the screen you would like to take a picture of, say for example, just a dialog box or the whole screen. KSnapshoot saves by default snapshots in the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) file format.

Some Tips

If you need a screen dump of a dialog box, set the Capture Mode option to Section of Window
