The YaST IDE DMA Mode module configures DMA (Direct Memory Access) for your IDE drives.
[edit] Features
The list given shows each IDE device, the current DMA mode, the type of IDE disk, device location, and the required DMA mode (if applicable).
The available DMA modes are:
- DMA Off
- DMA On (default)
- DMA/16
If you are unsure of these settings, leave them at the default configuration or consult your IDE drive's manual for DMA capabilities.
