Projects

ThinkFinger

ThinkFinger is a driver for the SGS Thomson Microelectronics fingerprint reader found in most IBM/Lenovo ThinkPads.

Input Abstraction Layer (IAL)

The Input Abstraction Layer makes special keys (e.g. multimedia keys, function keys found on notebooks) "just work". IAL provides a daemon which can be easily enhanced by modules. These modules are sending events via D-Bus to the clients.

KNetworkManager

KNetworkManager is a NetworkManager front end for KDE. Please have a look at the project page. There are also a couple of screenshots.

I've started this project end of 2005 in order to provide a NetworkManager front end which would be accepted by the KDE community. First appearance: SUSE Linux 10.1 (May 2006).

FnFX

FnFX enables owners of Toshiba laptops to change the LCD brightness, control the internal fan and use the special keys on their keyboard (Fn-x combinations, hot-keys).

XMMS Weasel

XMMS Weasel is a general plugin for XMMS. It automatically slides out XMMS from screen if the mouse pointer is leaving the XMMS window. As soon as the mouse pointer hits the screen edge XMMS will slide back in.

Hacking

List of projects I am hacking:

(M) indicates projects I am maintaining for openSUSE and SUSE Linux.

Besdide this, I am hacking on various ACPI drivers to push the Linux support for notebooks.
