Hi, I'm Michael. mw on IRC, usually maw elsewhere.

I work on GNOME packages, mostly for openSUSE but sometimes also for SUSE Linux Enterprise, with the good people in the GNOME team. I also work on various Mozilla packages with the assistance (read: he does almost all the work!) of Wolfgang.

I work from my home office in Mexico City yet I'm originally from Massachusetts, so I have a keen, if very lay, interest in i18n. Internationali[sz]ation can be tricky to understand from a practical point of view; here's my first attempt at a document that explains it for multilingual users who want to properly view and type non-ASCII characters but who aren't particularly interested in the underlying machinery.
