From openSUSE
I'm a Network Administrator for a small municipality in Northwest Arkansas. I stumbled into the SUSE arena when my company began using Novell Products. I come from a very heavy FreeBSD and general UNIX background.
We tested SUSE distros in our network for about two years before we finally deployed SLES 10 on our servers and openSUSE 10.3 on our desktops in early 2008. We're gradually migrating several users off of Microsoft products and onto SUSE desktops. SLES now runs the lion's share of our servers.
Since this work started, I've been trying to assist in the SUSE community in any way that I can. I still have a soft spot for *BSD, but I'm very excited about the SUSE community and project.
I am an openSUSE member, a member of the openSUSE-GNOME Team and I blog at lizards.opensuse.org on occassion.
I frequently blog about SUSE topics at http://altbit.org. The site is missing quite a few older posts, but it's still up. Feel free to contact me via email: chris AT altbit.org, via AIM: hobbschristo, or on irc.freenode.net as 'hobbsc'.
Namaste!
