Hello, why replacing templates on portals with <divs>? Wouldn't it be more convinient to change templates? --Meksykaniec (talk) 22:09, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- New wiki skin introduced Bootstrap 4. It contains some nice layout and components. Using div gives us full power of Bootstrap, you can adjust every detail as needed. Modifying templates is very painful because Bootstrap is too flexible. We can make templates to use in future, like Template:Random portal component. It will be done step by step. Current editing are for verification: if we can use Bootstrap grid, card, list group to produce nice pages. --Guoyunhebrave (talk) 22:20, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarification. Now I see direction where you are heading with those changes. Good work and keep it up :) Also, I invite you to take a look at https://pl.opensuse.org/Template:Box - it is template version of
ed cards. It's not yet completed (footer is always present) but you may use it as inspiration for templates. You may also look at https://pl.opensuse.org/Template:Portal
which already uses this template and looks very similar to english Template:Portal
but thanks to template have way more clear code.
