My name is Coly Li, and I work for Novell. Since July 1, 2007, I transfer to SuSE Labs and work on file system development full time.

I used to work on (and touch them time to time now)

  • OpenIPMI, in charge of user interface of OpenIPMI project.
  • YaST, yast2-multipath and yast2-taotie.
  • ext4, subdirectory inode reservation patch.

Currently, I work on

  • ocfs2, enable ocfs2 on OpenSuSE and SLE10.

Also I am winner of funnest project in Novell hackers week. See [1] In Google Summer of Code 2008, I mentored a student to enable Ext4 in Grub Lagecy. the code is included in OpenSuSE 11.1.

Packages that I maintained for OpenSuSE, and still take a look time to time:

Packages that I help to maintain now:

Here are several stuffs I am working on to kill my spare time (no any relationship with my employer):

  • Translate a Chinese version of "Linkers and Loaders".
  • Translate some technical papers into Chinese.
  • Write a very basic microkernel MLXOS (Multitask Layered eXecution Operating System) for education.
  • Maintain http://www.mlxos.org website to hold all the above three items.
