LTSP/Nomad

Nomad is a new technology providing remote desktop using RDP protocol with added session management and Compiz desktop effects. More information about it can be found here

Installation and Configuration

To use Nomad with KIWI-LTSP install and enable xrdp on the server and then add the following to /etc/sysconfig/kiwi-ltsp

   USE_NOMAD="1"

Run the following as root:

 kiwi-ltsp-setup -c

To get the sound, add the following in ~/.profile or /etc/profile.local for all users

 . /usr/share/kiwi/image/ltsp/include/getIsLocal.sh 2>/dev/null

At the moment Nomad is available only on SLE 11 and openSUSE 11.1.
