Third-party repositories

This is a list of currently existing third-party YaST repositories, meaning they're external to openSUSE. These packages are not supported by openSUSE, the packages may not be tested and the repositories can contain beta versions and other bleeding edge packages.

Warning

Use at your own risk. Please make sure you actually need/want a specific repository instead of blindly adding it.

Packman offers various additional packages for openSUSE. It's the largest openSUSE external repository.

VLC VideoLan Client

VLC Repositories for openSUSE Linux contains binaries for x86 and x86_64 including all the required libraries that are not shipped with original openSUSE.

ATI Video drivers

Anubisg1

Anubisg1 is a repository with mainly (but not only):

• instant-messaging packages (last versions of aMSN, pidgin, etc.)
• Grub-GFXboot (For help, check this page)
• ueagle-atm-firmware

Anubisg1 joined Packman, so a lot of these packages will be moved there.

JPackage

JPackage contains many Java software packages for Linux.

The jpackage yum access doesn't work very well with yast. Some of their rpm descriptions are buggy and the opensuse package parser fails with a warning. If you get an error, use smart instead, the only tool that seems to handle jpackage properly.

Replace MIRROR by a mirror from the mirror list
