What is an installation proposal?
An installation proposal is only used during the installation process. It is different from summary dialogs because the user can perform some actions within the dialog.
The installation proposal contains two tabs:
- Overview: provides a short and clearly structured overview of settings and selections the user made during the installation. The information should be so clear that its meaning can be understood by an unexperienced user.
- Expert: provides a more detailed and technical overview of settings and selections the user made during the installation

Properties of an installation proposal
- Contains two tabs:
- Overview
- Expert
- Bold and underlined headline, which displays the category.
- Headline is a link which opens the YaST module that belongs to the category. The module runs in full-screen mode.
- Subcategories which are underlined. The font-size of a subcategory is smaller than the font size of a category. A subcategory also opens a YaST module , which runs in full-screen mode.
- Bullet list, which displays choices. The font is not bold and it's size is smaller than the font size of a subcategory or a category. The choices are just displaying values.
- "change"-button, which is a menu button that gives the user the same editing possibilities as the links in the categories. All categories are included within the "change"-button.
