Scope

Interface with all periferal hardware modules in YaST to produce a current list of supported hardware for that machine and installed version.

Information pages on the web most of which are not up to date or do not apply to your machine.

Goal

To make searching for hardware drivers unnecessary after the basic install by buying supported hardware.

Typical use case

The end user could check in YaST before buying a particular piece of hardware, or print it to take with them a list of supported hardware by make and module for the type of hardware the end user is planing to buy.
