| Echo Icon Theme | The Echo icon theme is a new generation of icons theme, being developed by the Fedora project to replace Bluecurve in Fedora. | Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 | Users | These are beautiful isometric icons and works just fine on openSUSE 11.0. There's no Fedora related stuff inside the package, so I guess this beautiful icon theme can be included in some openSUSE repository. | |
| [a completely new expose] | "Arbeitsflächen-expose" | ? | me and the rest of multiplescreenusers | ok i am new (whats gpl?) anyways i am working alot with different [arbeitsflächen] screens and i imagine it too cool to have an expose in which you can just click on one of your screens (instead of just choosing the windows on one screen) and you r there (ok, the thing with moving the mouse to the screens edge to switch is nice but sometimes i dont know where i am on my 3150 x 4200 px screen (9 screens 1050x1400)) thats my whish and i think it makes working lots easier and faster

| Compiz-Fusion for KDE and Gnome | "Compiz-Fusion for a modern looking Desktop" | GNU/GPL | users, me my friend who are using openSUSE and my family | I hope it will be integrated soon! Bye now. | |
| Crystal window decoration | KDE Style | GPL | users | A modern looking theme for kde (currently available here) | |
| Look and feel | Linux Boot, login and KDE Style | GPL | users | I was a little disapointed that the new color theme is blue for OpenSuse. I liked very much the green theme in the 9.3 pro version. Also, the bootsplash theme was much more cool in the 9.3 than in the 10.x version, like KDE start screen and the login screen. I think that the blue theme could be kept for the OpenUse and the green for the Official release of 10.1. Also, please include somewhere in the KDE start screen and/or the login screen the version of the system (OpenUse 10.x ? Suse 10.x ?) to make things clearer to users. Anyway, the gecko is green after all. Please put a little effort on the visual aspect of the system (login, boot, kde start) because this kind of thing that could attrack users, and for me it was one of the criteria why I choose to use Novell Suse.--Romainp 08:49, 24 Nov 2005 (MST) | |
| NuoveXT Icons | Icon theme that works with both KDE and Gnome | GPL | users | I would like to see this icon theme as the default one. Its super cool. So I hope this would be considered as the default icon theme or at least be provided as a substitute.
I would like to second this proposal -- NuoveXT is simply stunning. It gives the desktop a truly elegant/professional feel, and since it has Gnome analogues it would help SUSE retain a similar look-and-feel if the user opts to run Gnome. I have had non-Linux users ask me where I have gotten these icons more times than I can count. | |
| Polyester | KDE Style | GPL | users | Polyester (previously named Polymer) is a highly popular KDE style and window decoration. It is based on Plastik, but it has less dots and various other improvements that many people might consider pleasant. Provides a greenish color theme that goes well with SUSE. (currently available here) | |
| Noia icons | Icon theme for KDE | GPL (perhaps) | ra100 | I´d like to see this icon theme as the default one. Its super cool. | |
| gtk2-engines-rezlooks | GTK2-engine | GPL | users | No packages for openSUSE. |
