zh interwiki DB

Hi,

There is already a zh_tw prefix existing (for the http://zh_tw.opensuse.org/ wiki). Is this what you're looking for? I'm a bit lost with the simplified (cn.o.o) and traditional Chinese (zh_tw and zh) wikies. Shouldn't we have only 2 Chinese wiki ? it seems there are 3 of them actually (cn.o.o for simplified, and zh_tw.o.o and zh.o.o for traditional Chinese) --Spyhawk 04:03, 12 October 2010 (MDT)

Yes, I know there already are a zh-tw wiki (Traditional Chinese).

Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese both are Chinese, they can be converted via mediawiki when mediawiki's locale is Chinese. In fact, Chinese have a lot of kinds include zh-cn,zh-tw,zh-hk,zh-sg, they all can be converted by mediawiki.

Now wiki has three chinese wiki (zh.opensuse.org zh_tw.opensuse.org cn.opensuse.org), but only zh.opensuse.org has enabled Chinese-convert function. I want to merge them to zh.opensuse.org.

I will communicate with zh_tw team and cn team. Even if zh_tw team don't agree with me, I still hope use zh.opensuse.og as Chinese wiki site instead of cn.opensuse.org. --Qiii2006 05:52, 12 October 2010 (MDT)

Hi,

Thanks for the explanation :) I'll add the database prefix as soon as possible. Thanks a lot for your wiki work! --Spyhawk 11:29, 13 October 2010 (MDT)

Thanks. There is no opposition in opensuse-zh mail list and Chinese opensuse forum. I have added zh.o.o to template, then the main page of en.o.o needs your review.  :-) --Qiii2006 03:26, 16 October 2010 (MDT)
