Welcome to openSUSE,
Thank you for the interest in contributing to openSUSE project.
Your intention to help is welcome, but:
- Please when you change text that belongs to links (text in double square brackets) in some page, you are breaking links to existing articles.
- The HOWTO is original Linux term, and the http://tldp.org is probably the proper place to ask about correct spelling.
- The article HOWTOs is the list of many HOWTO articles, and it should be in the plural form HOWTOs.
- When you want something to be deleted use template {{delete}}. For the list of templates see Templates page, not Template :-).
- If you want to keep existing title, but just change a text, don't "move" it to delete, as that creates another article like NTFS DELETE ME.
- If you want only to see how the text will look, press "Show preview" button right under the edit window. It will show you preview, and if you like it you can press "Save", if not, just continue to edit.
- If you want to correct or change article that you just saved, use "edit" button at the bottom of the page again.
- Don't move articles around as it creates a lot of unnecessary new articles.
- If you want to learn how to use Madiawiki please see http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki. You can also install Mediawiki software on your computer using YaST, and run your own wiki.
- To contact us with questions and proposals you can subscribe to opensuse-wiki mail list. How to subscribe you can find on Communicate page. For your convenience we've provided links that will make subscription easier.
Thanks for contributing. ----Rajko M 11:01, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Please do not move major pages before discussing it ... On the opensuse-wiki list for instance. I have reverted your package repositories move. -Msmeissn 08:48, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
