Mockup for a new Novell_Supported_Projects Page
Moved to my archive In addition to the openSUSE project, which it sponsors, Novell supports many other open source projects. Some of these projects deliver packages that are delivered with openSUSE/SUSE Linux Enterprise, others create stand-alone applications that address various user and customer needs.
The openSUSE team is active in many of these projects, contributing testing, bug-fixing and in some cases the substantial development to a wide range of efforts.
Projects that has been initiated/created by Novell/SUSE is highlighted with this symbol;
- Banshee
- Banshee is a brand spankin' new audio player based on the GStreamer media library and is developed on the Open Source Mono .NET Platform
- AppArmor
- Included with openSUSE/SUSE Linux, AppArmor is an application security tool designed to provide a highly secure yet easy to use security framework for your applications. AppArmor proactively protects the operating system and applications from external or internal threats, even zero-day attacks, by enforcing good behavior and preventing even unknown application flaws from being exploited.
- gcc
- The GNU Compiler Collection and Support Files
