From openSUSE
Yo everyone!
I am Kevin "Yeaux" Dupuy, a 15-year-old student in Louisiana, United States. I am known as KevinYo on IRC chat. In the non-openSUSE world, I'm a volunteer for the Libertarian Party of Louisiana and worked with the Ron Paul and Bob Barr presidential campaigns in 2008.
I am fairly active in Artwork and writing and cleaning up wiki documentation, I started the Local User Groups and am a Member of openSUSE. I belive an active, organized community behind openSUSE is the key to our world dominat... I mean "long term success".

Some fairly random things I've done, according to the My Contributions page
- I wrote a simple-to-follow (I hope, anyways) guide on how to install openSUSE 10.3 here. (And Installation/11.0_DVD_Install now)
- I made some posters that can be used to represent the openSUSE community, and some web banners for the 10.3 launch. I'll also be making some 11.0 marketing artwork as we get closer to the release.
- I started the openSUSE Local User Groups project to organize local groups of openSUSE users.
- I cleaned up the Screenshots page a little, hoping to make it a good place for perspective openSUSE users to see good shots of openSUSE.
- I made a simple Christmas-themed GNOME theme. It's on that Screenshots page somewhere.
- I started the openSUSE 11.0 and About openSUSE Linux pages.
- In June 2007, I proposed splitting the openSUSE website in 2. One for users, one for the folks making the product. I have since gotten off of the... well, never mind...
- My first contribution, I believe, was a Feature Request that openSUSE develop a SUSE Greeter for the GNOME desktop. And it happened. How cool is that?
What I hope to accomplish here at the openSUSE project
I would like to look back on my time here at the openSUSE project, when I'm like 80 or something, and say "boy, that was interesting".
OK, really, what I want to do is try to help increase the marketing and external knowledge and image of openSUSE. And make it awesome. But we're all trying to do that.
Me & SUSE... A history nobody really needs to know
I started using SUSE back in the pre-Novell days, SuSE Linux 8.2. Back then, they had the wierd little shapes on the box. It was cute, I guess. Got off the SUSE train, returned with 9.3. I remember the "lizard blizzard" of August 2005 (I believe) when openSUSE was launched. Since then, I've been buying the boxed editions every version, and wish Novell would ship them to stores in America again.
Why did I just write all of this?
"People do crazy things sometimes. And whether those things are for good or for bad, they do them. We are trained like that. We know that to be human means to do weird things. Things you maybe had always meant to do, but never got around d to doing, then it just came up and you did it. You know? And then, when you do it, you do it crazy like. You go all out, doing it the way you would have never done before. Thats exactly what you're doing right now." -Dr. Phil. (I just made that quote up, by the way, but it would be awesome if he said something like that before!)
There's more!
Don't worry, we have you covered!
