Notification of updates
User gets notified by an icon that appears in the notification area, as soon as updates are available. Furthermore a notification bubble appears.
The icon of the applet stays in the notification area until the packages have been updated.
Notification bubble gives information on the number of updates available.
Presentation of updates
After clicking the notification icon, a window containing all updates is presented to the user. By highlighting an update, the user can see its description at the bottom.
An icon in the first column of the treeview indicates whether an update needs a restart of the system.
