USE CASE #1 Adjusting Windows Partition

Goal in Context: Christian installs openSUSE, recognizes that his Windows partition is too small (10 GB) and he wants to resize it (15 GB)
Scope & Level: Primary task during installation process
Preconditions: User is already in the installation process, enough disc space for Windows resize and Linux installation is available
Success End Condition: User can use 15 GB of hard disc space for Windows, can boot openSUSE and Windows, no data loss
Failed End Condition: Data loss, no installation of openSUSE because the user is not able to resize the Windows partition
Trigger: Display of installation summary
Description:

  • Starting partitioner
  • Identifying available information (hdd, partitions)
  • Selecting Windows partition
