Pros and Cons
Pros:
- summaries (e.g. hardware)
- clear navigation through listing of installation steps
- easy availability of help text on left w/ button click
Cons:
- long static "blue screen" after the user chooses to install openSUSE 10.2
- unselected radio buttons at select desktop and uncertainty for the non-technical user what this is all about
- decision “boot hard disc” or “installation” after reboot is confusing for a non-technical user
- many secondary pop-ups
- many inputs required
- install isn't during a live session, so nothing to do during the install other than stare at the slideshow
- help text isn't clear for new users
