We have the best software in the world but it is wasted if we keep it all for ourselves and not tell anybody.

Why should we blog? Why should we announce? After all, people are eagerly scanning our changelogs and digging into each little Bugzilla comment, aren't they? Real programmers code till they drop, and they are done with "svn ci". Bragging and publicizing your work is for wimps!
