  • I have removed "YaST GTK+ Finalization". FunkyM, could you elaborate on this?

The only thing that needs some work is the package manager (and some minor stuff). I have started a cleanup that I just need finishing... (you can still do the basics, and we can have the qt interface used for this while this is worked out.) There are certain api changes to the core that need to be done to increase integration (like to have icons for buttons); but this is mostly technically trivial. Yast team is understandable reluctant to changes, and their policy is to only add features that can be used on the ncurses interface, and their development repository and decisions are private.

Regard integration, a lot of my time was spent with things, that may seem of easy achievement, like having the labels to the left of the forms, which have implied a completely different layout design of that used by -ncurses and -qt and that was not thought by the core designers.

To try out yast-gtk: svn checkout https://anonymous@forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/yast/trunk/gtk

If you dislike something or want something improved, feel free to contact me or fill a bug report. But really, except the package selector, it is all working well. We are talking of polishing now.
